Tell us a bit about you & what you do
I’m 30 years old from Melbourne & for me the perfect Saturday afternoon would be sitting at my good friends pub, the Ascot Vale Hotel, drinking cold pots of Carlton Draught with mates as the sun beams through the window with the footy on or the races.
Outside of this, I work on a business I am insanely passionate about. I started the company with my best mate Liam & now ex girlfriend Sumin. We launched the first ever 100% Korean pear juice brand in Australia called Bae Juice. The Korean pear has an enzyme inside called DHM which has been proven to help detoxify alcohol & prevent hangovers. Crazy right?
What do you love about running Bae Juice?
Pretty much everything, I love the constant problem solving that comes with being a business owner. I also absolutely love building a brand alongside the content for our social media strategy & being vulnerable/authentic when it comes to sharing our story & journey.
What trends are you predicting for the FMCG space for the rest of the year?
The hydration space is absolutely humming, Liquid Death has set a new bench mark for water plus the electrolyte sachets, so have seen lots entering this space with various brands & product positions in the market.
What’s the best piece of advice you were given?
Be a problem solver, not a problem announcer. I think this has stuck with me since I was 21 years old & there truly are two types of people, ones who freak out & stress or those who get on with it & find a solution & deal with things (Leadership qualities)
& what’s the worst?
Fake it till you make it, the stupidest thing I’ve ever bloody heard seriously? I could give 10 reasons...
If weren’t running Bae Juice, what would you be doing?
I can’t wait to begin consulting & working with new founders & products. 6+ years in the trenches of a beverage start up, & I’m excited to support others in this space & build new brands with good people.
