This week on our Talking Straight Series we caught up with Sydney based Chiropractor, Andrew Richards - from Well Aligned Cammeray. Andrew shares his morning routine as a father, why reading his the healthy #iso habit he wants to continue & what his predictions are for appearing health trends in 2020. Here's Andrew.
SUPR: What does your morning routine look like?
AR: When I don’t have the kids, I’m off to F45 or Yoga to kickstart the day. Other days its Daddy day care, getting them fed, dressed an out the door for school in time is way harder😊
SUPR: What’s one healthy habit you prioritised / embraced during lockdown that you’ll continue as we start to return to normality?
AR: After I’d had a bit of Netflix binge, I turned a page…literally and got back into reading. I’ve kept it up and now make a point of reading much more. I take opportunity of times when I used to watch TV, like sitting down to a meal on my own and read instead. It’s amazing when you capture these little moments how much literature you can get through. Feels like I’m nourishing my body and mind at the same time. I feel so much better for it.
SUPR: What are five things you’ll always have in your fridge / pantry?
AR: Organic almond milk, frozen bananas, sourdough bread, Jalna Greek natural yogurt (fruit salad is not the same without it), Spelt flour.
SUPR: What’s your favourite form of movement?
AR: Swimming.
SUPR: What’s the first destination you’d like to visit once we’re allowed to travel again?
AR: Tasmania.
SUPR: Why is it important to you to be Straight Up & authentic? Have you ever struggled in the past with being your true self?
AR: So that the world can get a read on who you are, what you’re asking for to then give it to you!
SUPR: The health industry is constantly adapting to external circumstances. What’s one health trend you predict will remain or appear in 2020?
AR: A move away from reactive conventional western medicine and a move towards pro-active natural approaches to healthy living and health care.
